Leaving Arizona...

was much harder than I ever thought that it would be. Letting go of my grandparents has been really hard. Oma was so happy when they first put her in the home, but that quickly went down hill, she was being over medicated. I did everything I could to correct the situation before we left. It was really hard seeing her like a zombie, but our last week there it finally got better. I went to see her 4 times that week, and each time she was better, and started recognizing us when we walked in. Our final trip to see her was on Sunday morning, the morning before we left. She was so happy that morning, I was finally at peace with leaving her. And I truly believe that the Lord allowed me a couple of minutes with Oma before we left her. She started to cry, and calling me by name told me how much she loved me, gave me a hug and kiss and then she was gone again...back to the woman who flirts with my husband.

And then there was the friends that we had made. That whole deal really sucks every time you move. I had told Mike that I didn't want to make any friends, that way it would be easy to leave. But then I met Becky, from Wisconsin who was the first to talk to me, and then Amber, and then my calling in Primary and with that came Sarah. And the splitting of the wards and park days brought about even more girls. We thought about staying because of all of you guys, and Mike really liked his job, but in the end we still felt the need to be in Texas.
