Mike called it....

I was absolutly miserable, I was so swollen that I could hardly walk, and I could lay down all the way it hurt to bad. So for at least two weeks before Jordan entered this world I slept in our over stuffed chair. The morning of my last appointment, Mike called to say that maybe I should take some things with me, that I wasn't coming home. I blew him off, we already knew that I was going to be induced the following monday. I should have listened to him. For the first time I had high levels of protien, and my blood pressure was sky high...not to mention that I had gained 15 lbs. in a week, no wonder I couldn't walk!!
My doctor happily announced that today was the day, I thought I was going to be sick...I wasn't ready for this. I still had things I wanted to get done, and then the thoughts of labor and being entrusted with something so special from our Heavenly Father...Mike, I needed Mike...who had gone to Houston for work that day.
With a phone call to Mike and nothing but my mom and purse in tow, off to the hospital we went. Mike came later that night, and brought me a bag of belongings, he was so excited!
26 hours later Jordan joined us in the delivery room, with eyes wide open.
She was so little, so perfect...all the nightmares were just that nightmares!
She was 7lbs 7oz and 18in long.
These pictures are grainy as well, thanks to Aunt Jade who at least had her phone. Ineed to get the pictures from my parents camera...my camera had dead batteries, I thought I still had time to buy them. I will post more current pictures later.
Holy HUGE nose and lips, can anyone say swollen? I think half of the 15 lbs I gained the last week were in my nose!

Who are these people? Put me back in there...

I like to turn my nose up at things...but check out my hair!

My FAVORITE thing to do...sleep on my Daddy!

Shalene, she is seriously the cutest thing ever. I love her chubbo cheeks. So you had preclampsia? I am so sorry about all that crap. She is so worth it and I am sure you'll agree. Thanks goodness for talented moms. The nursery looks so cute.
