My friend Emily has introduced me to a another potentially expensive hobby, I am not sure where I am going to find the time for this one with everything else...but I like it. I am learning to sew! I already have to stay away from Hobby Lobby, Micheal's, Jo Ann's...and the list goes on. But now I have been introduced to the Cabbage Rose, a quilter's store with designer fabric. I must admit I thought that it was nice when we got there, but then I found the Amy Butler fabric. Amy Butler is the reason I must stay out of those other stores...I love her stuff.
So, I indulged, I bought this cute fabric to make Jordan a dress. We only have one problem, she is to small. The pattern said 18-20 lbs, but this dress won't fit her until she is at least 18 mos. All I have left to do is put the little straps on it.
I am hoping to send this one to my sweet little niece Kennedy. So Janine, what do you think?

Finally!!!!!!!! You updated and we love it. Jordan gets cutter every day. Love the dress, can't wait to see it on Kennedy.
You have got to be kidding me!!! I have been looking for a quilt shop like that. The ones I have been to so far are crappy. See, when you blog, you change people's lives!!! Well, atleast my budget plan because I am addicted to fabric now, too!
Well, this doesn't take me back at all since this is just one more way you got ALL the Betty Creative genes. You go girl!
Those temple pockets are AWESOME. I was given one as a YW and use it today so I think that they will be used. The dress looks great. Maybe one day we can go to the fabric store together. I love to shop for fabric I never use.
Great job on the dress! I am lucky if I can sew a straight line! Also, that's awesome that Mike is losing weight and won the contest! If you're interested, my kids and I go walking everyday (in a perfect world), but if you and Jordan would like to join us we'd love having you. I never got my blog address to you at church, it's: http://clarkclan02.blogspot.com/
